What you’ll do:
  • Create full-cycle effects (including the overall look, mechanics, particle setup, texture creation)
  • Design and integrate effects of varying complexity — including the most complex and innovative ones in the field
  • Create effects in different styles, primarily realistic, but also 2D effects when needed
  • Work with Unity's particle system
  • Collaborate with other VFX artists, game designers, and programmers
What you need to succeed:
  • Knowledge of the mobile gaming market and its trends
  • Excellent skills in composition, color, timing, and dynamics
  • 3 years of experience creating effects for mobile games
  • Expert skills creating and optimizing effects in Unity Particle System
  • Expert skills working with graphic editors for texture creation
  • Ability to create animated textures (frame sequences)
  • Experience working with shaders
  • A current portfolio with examples of work
Nice to have:
  • Understanding of principles in related fields: programming, game design, technical design, animation
  • Ability to write shaders or create them in Unity Shader Graph
  • Experience using third-party particle rendering programs (Particle Flow, Fume FX, AfterBurn, etc.) to create frame sequences
  • Experience working on stylistically similar mobile projects
  • Experience creating and texturing 3D models
